James Chang

My name is James Chang and I graduated as the 2023 Citipointe Christian College Dux, with an Atar of 99.45. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at UQ, with Provisional Entry for UQ Medicine.

I achieved the following scores in Year 12:
Physics: 97

Chemistry: 96

Specialist: 95

Methods: 95

Literature: 94

Chinese: 93

UCAT: 3110, 657 SJT.

My aim as a tutor is to teach my students how to learn efficiently. My daily routine consisted of very light study (<1 hour a day), as I aimed for a high level of understanding in all my subjects. I maintained a good balance for my everyday life on top of this, participating in volunteering and leadership opportunities over my last 2 years of school, such as being a Head of House, as well as sporting commitments.

I also attended biweekly math help sessions run by my school, where I was able to do my own work, as well as teach students in lower year levels, helping students increase their marks in short periods of time, using my approaches to studying. As such, I strongly believe from my experience that I will be able to help my students to achieve their goals efficiently, whilst enjoying Year 12.

I currently offer online one-on-one tutoring for $50/hr, and in person tutoring from $55/hr, depending on the location.
